Micro Volunteering 30mins, 5 days a weeks.
We are looking for Social Media Volunteers to talk to an age range close
to their own and drive up engagement online through Twitter, Facebook about Special
events, offers and give a picture of what is going on in the Shop as well as the Online Shop. Promoting Oxfam New Products is part of this exciting brief.
We are particularly interested in young volunteers who actively participate
in social media and are innovative in creating new Tweets, Facebook content, Instagram etc.
This would be ideal for PR students or other creative students such as
photographers, writers, journalists are equally of interest. Needless to say we are open to other skill sets.
Social media Volunteers should be Happy to learn all the literature on Oxfam New Products range and understand the role of Fairtrade.
As well as other initiatives that Oxfam are involved with such as the No
Land Grabs #SugarRush and #LiftLives campaigns.
Promoting awareness of Oxfam’s Need for Volunteers is most Urgent.
We hope that candidates for the role of Social Media Volunteer will
enjoy an opportunity to be exceedingly creative.
The role requires sharp eyes for what might trend well – we believe that
experimenting is good. Yet the most vital component is building audience
profiles and maintaining a young audience.
This is an opportunity to cut your teeth with an International Brand that has much public
affection and recognition. The nature of working with Oxfam is one of
greater all round awareness and engagement. Some Hands on experience in the Pinner Shop will be required.
This is a good preparation for a career in campaigning
